Hiking and Multi-Use Herkimer County Trails.

Some trails may be designed for multi-use, which means during the summer, they could be a combination of hiking or bicycling. Please be sure to check before you start out biking to be sure it is allowed on that particular trail.

Dolgeville-Salsbury Greenway Trail

ACCESS

In the Village of Dolgeville, parking is currently available along Spencer Street.

 

LENGTH

1.6 miles

 

TRAIL

This rail bed trail travels from Cavalli Street (located in the north side of the village) to Ransom Street (located in the south side of the village). Currently, the Village of Dolgeville allows for snow-mobiling, cross-country skiing, bicycling, hiking, and walking. Please exercise caution as you approach other recreational enthusiasts.

 

With the exception of the State and Spencer Street intersections as well as the bridge crossing at Beaver Creek, the trail main-tains a level grade over the entire length. This trail is a work in progress as the village is making annual improvements.
